Luther “Buddy” Cruthers, 65, of Delran, passed suddenly on Jan. 2, 2019. He is survived by his longtime companion Jane Cruthers, his parents Harry and Valerie Marvin, his brother Russell Marvin (Regina) and his loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Christine Marvin.

Buddy’s furry friends were his children. He took care of them many years. Caring for these animals was the joy of his life.

Visitation Tues., Jan. 8, from 10 am to noon, with Funeral Service to follow at noon in the FERTIG FUNERAL HOME, 63 N. Main St., Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Inurnment Eglington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Animal Welfare Assn. at www.AWANJ.org of Voorhees would be appreciated.

Dear Friend, We missed you terribly and hadn't seen you in awhile. Edward still has your cat carrier you'd lent when you captured our treasured kitty, Norton for us to adopt. I'd gone on the internet to verify your address so we could invite you to our second wedding, but found instead your obituary. We were shocked and saddened. Your name, Luther is on the dedication table at our wedding so everyone knew you should have been there with us. We talk about you often. i think my next boy kitty will be Luther...
