ForeverMissed
On July 8th, 2021, her mother's birthday at the age of 6, Lydia drew her last breath after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Being initially diagnosed at 18 months she beat cancer many times over.  Discovering this past spring that her leukemia had returned, she fought bravely, proudly, and like the true hero, she had grown into.  She spent her time leading up to her battle enveloped by love, laughter, and the warm embraces of all who cherished her.  She is loved and missed by many people, the entire world over, and her absence has rippled through many communities and lives.  Lydia will be lovingly remembered by her mother Ashleigh, her sisters Eimilie and Eve, and her brothers Aric and Ryker as well as a large number of family, friends, and cancer warriors.  The family would like to thank the home health care team of Haldimand Norfolk, the first responders, and the hospice staff at the Steadman home in Brantford.  Lydia was a light that touched everyone who met her and her infectious smile and attitude will be forever missed by all who knew her.  We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and love during this time.

I never knew you little one but i recognize the powerful love that your mother had and shall always have for you Lydia. You yearned to live and that gift was stolen from you at such a tender young age. You seemed always to have a smile on your face in defience of what was to become your inevitable future.. I believe in my heart that you live on in a better place and watch over us from up above with a smile upon your face and that you send your love to rain down upon all those that were close to you. I offer you a flower Lydia, it grows in the red earth of Prince Edward Island and it is called the Lupine =) It is a beautiful flower in my opinion and i feel that is could represent you little lady =) Rest in peace sweety, you are with a higher power now. *warm hugs* ~Mike

I’m so glad I got the chance to meet this powerhouse of a little girl. She fought hard in the face of adversity and I like to think she gets that from her amazing mom. She left one hell of an impact on everyone she knew. Sending all my love to you and your family, sweet Mogwai. See you on the other side. ❤️

You will always be our special little girl. Your smile so contagious even in your fight. No adult could have fought as hard as you. You were so loving and your hugs so special
We prayed so hard for you but God had other plans. I am sad you are gone but glad you are in the arms of Jesus. Both Laverne and I our little ray of sunlight
