Lynn Darwin Green, age 71, of Cerritos, California died January 29, 2015 from complications of a brain tumor.  Lynn was born July 9, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Joe Bob Green and Mildred Pauline Pierce in Dallas, Texas.  Lynn was an athlete and participated in various sports during his high school years at Bryan Adams High School.  He earned his degree from the University of Texas.  He later attended East Texas State University and North Texas State University working toward his Masters in Psychology, and met and married his love, Cathleen Flocker, accepted a job in Cerritos, California, where he remained until his death.  Lynn enjoyed chess, logic, strategy, debate and learning.  His preferred pastime was dancing with Cathy and playing cards and tennis with friends.  Lynn is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathleen “Cathy” Green, his son, Bryan Lynn Green and his wife, Hayden Byrd Green and grandchildren Ewan and Naya residing in Oklahoma, sister Barbara Green Coker, niece Kimberly Piccolo and her family residing in Texas, various nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, friends and “Lucky” his dog.  Lynn was cremated at Smart Creations in California.  A memorial website is available at “lynn-green.forevermissed.com”.  Family and friends are encouraged to share memories, stories and tributes in lieu of flowers.
