Professor  Lynn Adrienne Olzak, PhD, passed away on October 13, 2016. Lynn passed peacefully after a month-long struggle with intestinal failure and several surgeries. Lynn was born on November 23, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees from UC Santa Barbara, San Jose State University and UC Los Angeles, respectively. She married her husband, Erwin H. Johnson, in 1975. In addition to her husband she is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly and Michelle Johnson, and her sister, Professor Susan M. Olzak.

While working at Miami University, she was instrumental in getting many pre-optometry students, including those working in her lab, into the optometry school at Ohio State University and was proud of the work they did there.
