Mae Sue Sanderfur (Mitchell ) was the only child to the late Quinn Mitchell and Della Yates.
Mae was born in 1940 in Winston Salem, N.C. She met and married Thomas Lee Nichols, Sr. The couple was part of the great migration from the south and relocated to Dayton, Ohio for a better life. To their union four children was born in Dayton.. She confessed Christ at an early age and loved to sing and play the piano.
Mae was one of a kind, she had a sweet and gentle spirit towards her children, but to strangers, she could give you the business in a nice and loving way. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.
Mae was preceded in death by both of her parents, her stepfather Charlies Thomas, her oldest child Thomasine Nichols.
She leaves to cherish her memory Tommy Lee Nichols Sr. (Michelle) Oscar Quinn Nichols, Teretha Brown;
Nine grandchildren Juan Nichols, Kisha Simon, Monique Massey, Quinten Nic hols, Tommy Nichols II, Christina Holden, Terrance Nichols, Quinise Arnold, Tabitha Jordan- Nichols. Sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
