Her Life

A native of Richland, GA., and the daughter of the late Claude and Christine Perry Josey, Mrs. Caldwell had lived in Columbus most of her life. She was a home-maker and a member of Riverview Baptist Church and its Ushers Ministry. She was a member of the Stars of Columbus, Chapter 103 Order of The Easter Star PHA, and a faithful volunteer at Cusseta Road Elementary School for over 20 years. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, SFC Bobby D. Caldwell, Jr.

Surviving are two daughters, Maggie Freeman and Vernita Caldwell Rosser(Albert); a step-daughter, Naomi Scott Woods(Charles); a son-in-law, Lawrence Freeman; fifteen grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren; four sisters, Claudia Turner, Rushie Bell Cobb, Martha Everett and Barbara Shanks-Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
