Maggie Mildred Brogden Currin, 84, a lifetime resident of Granville County went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Coy Lewis and Pinkie Grissom Brogden. She lived her life to serve the Lord and was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Creedmoor. She retired from Murdoch Center in Butner after 25 years of service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 6, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1512 Beaver Dam Road, Creedmoor, N.C. 27522 by Scottie Currin, Rev. Dan Hill and Rev. Thomas Lamm. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, R.M. Currin of Creedmoor, two sons, Terry Currin (Nancy) of Durham, Richard Currin of Creedmoor, a daughter, Jeanette Bass (Kenny) of Durham, grandchildren, Scottie Currin (Allison), Anita Watkins, Crystal Hicks (Al), Chad Bass(Sarah), Adam Bass, Anna Bass, great grandchildren, Meagan Watkins, Emily Watkins, Alyssa Currin, Zachary Currin, Emma Currin and a brother, William Brogden.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Alzheimers North Carolina Inc.,1305 Navaho Dr.,Suite 101,Raleigh,NC 27609 in honor of R.M. Currin, her beloved husband.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 5th 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home. Eakes funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Currin family.
