Maggie Virginia Walke Boyd, 81 a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.
She was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and she worked at Premier Quilting for many years and retired from Lenox China.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17th, 2014 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Woodrow Freeze. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are four daughers; Patricia Taylor of Bullock, Teresa Riggan of Oxford, Wendy Bagbey of Timberlake, Rainey Watson of Bullock, a son, Alvis “Roscoe” Boyd of Oxford, a sister Mary (Bama) Beal of Durham, three brothers; Henry Walke of Kittrell, Johnny Walke of Zebulon, Dan Walke of Colorado, seven granddaughters, five grandsons and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, A.P. Boyd, two sisters; Betty Walke and Florence King and a brother Walter Walke.
Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to Grassy Creek Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17th, 2014 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church and other times at the home of her daughter, Rainey Boyd Watson.
