Mac was a really special man. We really miss his presence in our lives. We thought of him a lot yesterday when we had our St Patrick's Day dinner. We had a mutual love of Celtic music, and talked frequently about the different ones we listened to, and made suggestions for each other, and we would talk about what I was making for dinner for St Patrick's Day. He cared so much about our daughter when she was fighting cancer, and that was even before he had his own battle to fight. We compared cancer notes. We emailed. We checked up on each other (Diane too). but I think my two favorite memories were when we went and did the Scottish wedding together for my friend Kellie. We had a great time just hanging out together. And after I sang at the wedding I saw a look on his face that was very special, fatherly pride. He had the biggest smile on his face. That memory is very very dear to me. He had such a great father's heart, and I felt like he extended that to me when I needed it most. And the second was the last thing he said to me, and that was that he loved us very much, and he hugged me. I will always treasure that. We miss you Mac, and we will never forget you.
