Mme Ngoms it is 10months since u departed from dis nothing world ur memories and activities will always be remembered as there is never a day dat will pass by without any of ur child bring forward one of things u usually did to make us smile.A great woman of ur caliber will always be remembered for the great things u did all dis was seen on dat day 8th of May when you made ur final journey to the land of no return

Biography of Mama Hannah Evenye Ngomba

Mama Hannah Evenye Ngomba nee Ekema, fondly called Bigs by her grand children, was born on the 31st May 1942 at Bosumbu Victoria to Pa Ekema Simon  Maouke of Lower Bosumbu and Mama Christiana Etondi Etengani of Bwenga Mutengene village all of blessed memory. The second child of the wonya Ekema family, a family of 4 girls and 2 boys. Mama Evenye was a very straight talking lady since from childhood, she called a spade a spade, and very impartial in passing her judgements on others.
In 1954 to 1956she attended the Basel Mission Girls School Victoria where she acquired skills in cooking n home economics. It was during her time at that institution that she met her future husband, Pa Martin Gerald Ngomba of Boana village, who worked as a Customs and Exiles Agent at the time with Welemon Ltd Victoria West Cameroon. They got married in 1956 and moved to live in Bota, Tiko and Douala until Pa Ngomba retired in 1994 from the CDC,  and his death in 1996.
Mama Evenye's passion for farming and crop cultivation was very evident as she mainly produced ecological products. Mama loved to be at the service of people, she always had that smile on her face while welcoming her guests. Mama was a builder of people, her determination to see us educated and responsible humans. Family was gold to Mama,  she United her family in all dimensions, and she became the defacto family leader. She took care of so many kids, paid their school fees, provided shelter and food to many who were in need. To Mama family meant staying together and supporting one another. She championed the family meetings to chat ways of bringing family members together.
She was a committed, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother who wanted the best for everyone. She was very proud of the family and she showered all with unparalleled love, devotion and commitment. She made sure each grand child had a special gift for their successful results. She found great satisfaction and fulfillment each time that she procured didactic materials for the start of their college education. 
Mama Evenye was a devoted Presbyterian, baptised and dedicated her life to the service of God in the Presbyterian Church.  Her strengths, drive and determination came from her faith on Jesus Christ. She loves to give testimonials about the grace of God upon her life, children, grandchildren, and in law's.
Mama Evenye's commitment to her CWF was without doubt a real deal, she joined CWF movement in 1967 and was dedicated as one of their pioneer members along other 7 members. She loved singing especially in Douala hymns and bakweri songs.
She is survived by her 3 sisters and 2 brothers, her 8 children, 25 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her mate, in laws, daughter in law and 2 step children  with a host of other family members to mourn her.
Considering her caring and tender motherly disposition,  she will be greatly missed by all family and friends.
