My mom......she gave me hell.....but she taught me respect and she taught me about the father of all fathers.......i love you momma.....and thank you for being a real mother.I miss you everyday.Thank you momma for all the pain you endured but still you found the time to love us and care for us.I never knew how much you went thru until now.But your pain never stopped you because your light always was bright.Bright as the morning star.OH....thank you also for teaching me how to cook. You were right....you told me one day i would have to cook for myself.
Weird pic, right. Even though you can't see anyone's faces, my Mom is in the light blue dress. I believe that's my cousin Diane to the left of Mom in the white lace dress, my Aunt Bessie to the right of Diane, my sister Darlene in the yellow dress and my oldest sister Priscilla in the pink dress. Look at the cigarette machine in the background.
My Mom at 36 when we all lived on 34th and Vermont. Such a sweet soul.
