My dearest Letty,
It was so nice to see all those family pictures, I had no idea your mom played hockey! I'm sure you find some comfort looking back on these memories. Sometimes you can almost remember the day, the weather, the smells, the sounds of laughter, and the warm hugs of your mommy. I didn't know her well but it was obvious that she loved you unconditionally. When you became part of our family, she did too and I'm happy to have memories of my own of our families coming together at my parents house. We most definitely will have that opportunity again in much better conditions (Isaiah 33:24). It's been impressive to see you, someone who is experiencing the severest emotional pain to be so devoted to your faith and physical health (2 Corn 12:10-"...For when I am weak, then I am powerful."). No doubt your strength comes from God's curative comfort. Seeking his will, will certainly bring healing to your aching heart. Until your heart is fully mended, keep our sure and true hope of a resurrection close in mind (1 Thes 4:13-15, 18). We are sorry for your loss and Jehovah is sorry too. We love you immensely and extend our love to your family. You are in our prayers. Love, David & Jess.

My heart goes out to all of Marga’s family over her tragic death! How we long for the time ,in the very near future ,when right here on earth,”death will be no more”. ( Revelation 21:4). At that time, I truly look forward to getting to know her well! The wonderful souvenir photos paint a lovely picture of a dear lady that I only got to meet twice, but I feel like I knew her more than that ,because of her amazing daughter, Letty, my dearest friend! May Jehovah continue to comfort all of Marga’s family until the time when there is “no more pain”. Beautiful Pictures; Many Memories!

Our deepest condolences to the family. Marga's death was such an unexpected tragedy! She had much more life in her and a lot more love to give to her family, along with any of her suggestions (as caring mothers want to do).

I am so glad that we had the opportunity to get together on a few occasions/dinners (fun times). I remember the last time she came over she wanted to dominate on the Ping Pong table against her kids, she enjoyed that very much. That night she brought over the her "RICE"; its the best rice I have had! I loved it, I ate it for days... that night she also told me to put milk in my gravy, which I did!

Marga is missed, and she will be until Jesus calls her name in the resurrection. Marga is in God's perfect memory, and we can look forward to the time when the "Good News" in the Bible comes to fruition: When Marga will be resurrected; when there will be no more pain, crying of sadness , no more sickness... and definitely no more Pestilence... not even death! Looking forward to that day when we all gather together as family and friends to welcome her back to life! In Paradise! And she will love it! and THAT DAY will be such a WONDERFUL, PERFECT GREAT DAY!
(John 5:28, 29; Rev. 21:3,4).

Learning about Marga was a real privilege and I am blessed to see some her amazing qualities in her daughter, Letty.

Words fail to capture the loss of losing a loved one, especially one like Marga. May God continue to sustain and comfort you at this time of great loss. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)

We will continue to pray for your family.

Her Life

Remembering the life of a remarkable woman, Marga V Bos

March 10, 2021

On January 8th, 2021 we lost a remarkable member of our family. Marga V Bos, age 60, died after her battle against COVID-19. She is survived by her former husband and cherished life-long friend, Michael Bos, her daughter, Letty Amador, son-in-law Steve Amador, her daughter Irene Bos-Teruya, her sons Cody Bos-Teruya and Christopher Bos-Teruya. She also relished being Oma to her three-year-old granddaughter, Corinne (Cori). Further survived by countless relatives of the Venialgo, Aguilar, and Ibarrola families, as well as relatives of the Bos families.

Marga was born in South America, Paraguay, Cuidad de Concepción. Marga grew up in this small city where both the languages of Guarani and Spanish are spoken daily by nearly everybody. Guarani being the dominant language of friendly discourse, Spanish playing the role of governmental authority and, in Marga’s day, Spanish being the sole language of public-school instruction. So, Marga had both languages in her arsenal and was able to use them both interchangeably and marvelously. Marga also picked up key phrases in conversational Portuguese, even though Concepción is located 150 miles from the Brazilian border.

A fond childhood memory that Marga often related was when her father took her into the “Chaco” region to go hunting. There they would interact with indigenous people who spoke the Makthlawaya language. This beloved memory spoke to Marga’s love and respect for the Earth, the outdoors and those who were different from herself. When Marga described what she was like as a child, she would say that she would identify most closely with a hummingbird; always moving, busy, and not beyond causing quite a buzz... a bit of fast mischief. Hummingbird—"mainumby" in Guarani; "picaflor" in Spanish; "colibri" in Portuguese. Even now, when we see these multicolored creatures feverishly flying about, we are reminded of Marga’s enthusiasm, and energy; small but powerful. Marga’s background was truly multicultural and multilingual. This provided the rich foundation to the beautifully diverse person she was, and like the hummingbird’s multicolored feathers, there were so many beautiful glimmering dimensions to Marga.

At age 30 she courageously embraced a new life in North America, Southern California. Learning yet another language and a new way of life. Marga was determined to learn English. So, with perseverance, she immersed herself into the culture and language. She joined community classes in English. There, she would recall not understanding what anyone was saying, only laughing when others laughed, and all the while, drinking in the language of English in order to learn. Marga pushed against difficult circumstances in order to live a joyful life in her new home in California.

Over the years, Marga was a loving foster mom to a good number of children (now adults). She loved all children with a profound zeal and tirelessly advocated for their wellbeing. Several of Marga’s foster children are sure to recall her with special fondness. The desire to give of herself in this way came after surviving breast cancer in 1998. This was Marga; a woman who gained strength through surviving cancer and in turn wanted to show love to those in need of it.

While caregiving was certainly one of her most outstanding qualities, she was not one to be crossed on the hockey rink! Marga deeply enjoyed years of playing on several roller hockey teams as well as organizing women’s hockey tournaments. She felt immense pride when her sons Cody and Christopher and her daughter, Irene, shared in her love for hockey. She could often be found in the bleachers cheering her children and their teammates on. Marga played a key role in supporting many youth hockey team events. Many will remember Marga as always willing to lend a helping hand, giving of her time and energy in this way.

One of her greatest joys was being an Oma to her three-year-old granddaughter, Cori. Marga gave of herself to Cori, unselfishly and with unconditional love. To see Marga with little Cori was to see a bond that was forged with a love that is rare. She wanted nothing but the best for Cori and that was clearly seen by the attention and affection she gave to Cori. “Oma” was a title Marga was proud and honored to wear.

Words do little justice to describe Marga. She embraced life with determination, courage, passion, and ingenuity. She was bicultural and multilingual. Marga was a strong fighter, not only for herself but for others she cared for. To say we will miss her does not fill the void we feel from her loss. Marga would want her loved ones to remember her life, rejoice in the shared laughter and memories, and celebrate it.

-Shared with love by Michael Bos and Letty Amador

Algunas palabras de Robbie Bos / Translation of what Robbie Bos wrote

April 19, 2021
----- (What follows are the words written by brother-in-law Robbie Bos, posted in English on Letty's ForeverMissed webpage on April 16, 2021, here rendered by Michael Bos into the Spanish language.)

Memories Is What We Have

April 16, 2021
I remember meeting Marga for the first time. Michael had returned from the Peace Corps and his adventures and travels in South America.         He was so proud to introduce me and my family to his new bride and her lovely daughter Letty. "This will give Marga and Letty a new start in life, a new opportunity here in North America." To be so open and sharing something of this scale is monumental Michael! I do love you for this! I can only imaging the conversations you and Marga must have had before this huge move to North America.       Marga must of had many challenges to overcome, loss of daily family interactions, loss of friends, loss of familiarity with daily life in her home town. These are huge obstacles to deal with. But as we know, Marga is one tough woman. She made her stand, and made her life work in this new country. I cannot even begin to imagine what she had to deal with mentally. The sorrows, the anticipation, the adventure began. I know she did find her new life as the years passed. Marga found sports, hobbies, and personal interests. And over time I think she became acclimated to the new world.       I was always impressed when I talked with Marga. She seemed to have a great insight on so many levels. Relationships, daily life, responsibilities, kids, and fun time.    The years went by, like life does. Her daughter Letty grew into a wonderful and thoughtful woman. Marga found new love, and adopted Irene, Cody, and Christopher, giving them a chance to experience a happy home.      My memories.....   Clay Pottery..... Marga works with clay. I think something she was familiar with in Paraguay. Clay heads, hands, and feet were sculpted, dried, and assembled into marionettes. String puppets, with great fabric clothing. Marga sculpted small animal figures that had a life and style of their own. Very specialized. I still have on my shelf a small elephant among with my personal collection of other treasured elephants. I posted a picture here in the photos for you all to see.      Bicycle......  I remember Marga needed a bicycle to get around town. As you all should know, Michael is a very avid biker. Being in a large downtown city, Marga had the same knowledge of getting around town locally on a bike was always much easier than a car. I had a 10 speed bike from high school that I had ridden cross country and around town for boo coo years. Michael will tell you here that he has ridden "thousands" of miles, but I am still proud of my "many" miles over the years. Marga was thrilled to receive my "old" bicycle. For many years this was her local transportation around town. I am feeling kinda special for sharing this with Marga. It was a good bike, Marga was a special woman!        The years go by, and I for one feel like I did not spend enough time with so many friends and family. Michael was always good about making sure Marga and Letty came to family gatherings. Those gatherings became less frequent in later years. Marga and her adopted kids, Irene, Cody, and Christopher, still made the journey to visit.     I will miss Marga's hugs.      I will miss Marga's laugh.     I will miss Marga's talks and conversation on so many subjects.   Mostly, I will miss Marga's warm smiles.      We all have our numbered days to enjoy this one life, that we get to experience on this floating rock in space.  I will keep the memory of Marga in my heart and head until I too fade away.

With Gratitude

April 7, 2021
I am so grateful to learn more about the life, bravery, and brilliance of Marga. Her adventurous pictures spoke a thousand plus words. I am so sorry for the loss of this brilliant woman, mother, and friend. Letty, Irene, Cody, Christopher, and Michael: you ALL our in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. May God's spirit of calm help you in this devastating time! May you live your life with such courage and endurance as Marga. May you keep her memory and legacy alive and strong..
