… so I’m an orphan,

February 24
Somehow you never think that our parents won’t be here…
Eleven years later and I still think I need to call you …then I remember.
I miss Dad too. July 7,2024 will be two years since he passed…
I just spent four days with Annie. She came down for some R&R. We laughed a lot and talked a lot. She is still grieving for Joscelyn and Ellis. They died one week apart Jan. 23rd and Jan. 30th. Tuesday was her 39 th anniversary.
she’s thinking of moving down here. I hope she does.
Michael is doing ok. He comes over often to talk politics. I’m glad we’re on the same side. He gets wild over things.
I don’t think we’ll be here much longer. Our country has gone downhill so much.
i love you always my Mims….❤️

Wish we were there…

Hi Mimmers,
I don’t know if Dad is in heaven with you… I think he accepted Jesus before he passed in July.
Life keeps trucking on, I’m going to be 73 in May…when did that happen!.?
there are so many times I want to share things with you, and then  I realize I have to wait.
The twins are in college now. They both got cars with their inheritance money and Nikki started using some of the balance for tuition. They are both working too.
I visit Christopher and Amanda every few months in Maryland…I thoroughly enjoy my times with them. I always think of you when I’m being entertained by their two kids (O’Rion Christopher and Indigo Reign) you would be so enthralled with them. Whether we’re playing a game or telling madeup stories. Karen calls Indy little Margaret because she reminds us of you.
your little house looks different, but I still feel like it’s yours… thank you.
I just can’t believe it’s been ten years….

The day you chose.........

March 15, 2013

As I drove home from work I kept thinking I hope you don't still want to go to the Billy Graham Crusade at the stadium downtown, but as I pulled into my driveway you were sitting on the porch waiting...You said to me " Are you ready to go?" I mumbled yeah, ok Mom let me get out of this uniform. We got in the car driving south missing the stadium exit and on our way to Delaware, when you spotted a church bus going the other way. You told me to make a u-turn and follow the bus because they had to be going to the crusade. They were. We parked and headed inside and went to a section that had some open seating only to find out that it was the spanish speaking area with headphones for translation. We sat and listened to the different speakers, you especially wanted to hear C. Everett Koop (surgeon general) After more than an hour you told me you were ready to go. I thought you meant home, but you meant down on the field, where an invitation to come and be saved had been issued. We went and this woman came towards you. After finding out that you both had very similar backgrounds she prayed with you. This was the day you chose to receive God's gift of salvation, and now we know that you are in heaven, with Jesus, in the mansion with many rooms that he promises to all who receive Him as their Lord and Savior. It is the best comfort for those of us who are left to miss you....
Love you Mom,
