Margaret was always very busy with her yard, church and visiting the elderly. She always said visiting those older than her was her calling. She loved to work in her years and did it all. She said it was relaxing even if she worked 6 hours in the yard. she loved flowers, all kinds of flowers. Hanging baskets, rose bushes (26 of those) and geraniums (red) were her favorite. She loved a green lawn and didn’t mind cutting the grass or trimming the bushes and trees. She's been known to work on a couple of her neighbors yards when they were under the weather.
Margaret did a lot of volunteer work at her Ascension Catholic church. She worked for the St. Vincent de Paul, the food panty, assembled Christmas food boxes, assisted with funeral receptions, spaghetti dinners and receptions. She did work in the shelter, Eucharistic minister, Francis’ friends, and attended daily mass 6 days a week. She always loved to be around people.
Family is very important to her including her immediate family, the kids, grandkids, her brothers, sisters and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved to go home to Minnesota for reunions and weddings as often as possible. She made several trips to Denver where a lot of family lives for weddings. Margaret kept in touch with all her family. From making birthday, anniversary, baby, wedding graduation and sympathy cards on the computer. She kept track of all the dates, just a special thing she remembers from her own childhood from Aunt Frances.
Margaret also kept information on the computer of her family. A picture, their name, birthday, wedding date, address, phone numbers and emails. Each family member is in that information she calls it her bible, with a small “b”. Everyone who chooses, would get all that information. With a family her size, there were always changes.
Margaret would like the memories of her to be a happy one. Remember all her hats she so loved to wear. When you see Roses, Sunflowers, or Geraniums, think of me. Red is my favorite color, especially red cars!
God was good and was able to live a happy, caring life. She hopes she will get to see roses in heaven, to work in the garden with all her deceased family and friends.
God is good, God is everything. Take Margaret to Heaven.
