A Life Well Lived:

Margaret Torres Gracianette, passed away to be with Our Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020, on the Feast Day of St. Margaret of Scotland.

Margaret was born, Thursday, April 9, 1936 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She truly lived an abundant life of love and grace.

She is proceeded by her parents Antonio Jose Torres, Ruby Cole Torres and her sibling Edwin Torres, Adriana Torres Rourk and Ruby Torres Rodriguez. She is survived by her siblings, Isolina Torres Cazenave, Raul Torres and Leonela Torres Ryals. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Gracianette Sr, her 4 children, Karen Gracianette, Gerée Gracianette Martin (Clif), Kim Gracianette, and Arthur Gracianette Jr. (Carla) and her 6 grandchildren, Ashley Martin Echols (Andy), Porter Martin (Madison), Ruby Gracianette, Trey Gracianette, Sophie Gracianette and Isabella Gracianette.

She married the love of her life in 1959 in New Orleans and moved to Birmingham 1976. They loved ballroom dancing and belonged to several dance clubs throughout the city.

Margaret worked at Baptist Montclair Hospital for 26 years as a Radiation Therapist. After she retired, she worked as a Pro Life advocate and volunteered at Her Choice Birmingham Women’s Center. Margaret was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov 21, 2020 at 12:00 pm. There will not be a visitation beforehand.
