Margaret “Margie” Kearns, 63, of Atlantic County, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25th, 2016.

Marge was the beloved wife to her husband of 34 years, Gregg S. Kearns, loving mother of Danielle (Ben), Brianna (Russ) and Gregg, and grandmother to Elijah. She was passionate about rescuing animals and loved her sweet dogs, Shadow and Luke.  Marge was so proud of her family and her eternal love and friendship has shaped them to become who they are today.

Lover of the colder months and holiday seasons, with an instinctive affinity for plants, nature and hummingbirds; Marge’s buoyant spirit and commitment to her friends, neighbors and loved ones embodied her person.

Marge is survived by her immediate family, siblings, Susan MacDonald, Robbie MacDonald, Florence Kensek and her husband Paul, Eleanor Klinger and her husband Arlen, brother-in-laws Dan Kearns, Michael Kearns and his wife Maria, mother-in-law Joan Kearns, 33  nieces and nephews, and several cousins, great nieces and nephews.  She will also be missed by many dear friends, coworkers, and friends of her children, who she grew to know as her own.

Marge was predeceased by her parents Mary and James MacDonald, and siblings James A. MacDonald, Marianne Gaertner and brother-in-law Raymond H. Gaertner, and beloved dogs Blue and Jack.

A small service and celebration of her life will be held at Steelmantown Cemetery, 101 Steelmantown Road, Woodbine, New Jersey on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 1:00pm, followed by a private green burial.  Marge’s final resting place was chosen by her family, surrounded by oak, cedar and pines trees and will allow her body and soul to entwine with her love of nature.
