For my most beautiful cousin, Peggy, and her family. Because of Peggy's most wonderful, bright smile, the sun above has more energy to shine upon us and kiss our faces with the warmth of knowing she is blowing them! Just a single kiss upon the hearts of others makes us immortal and known always. I see your face, dear Peggy, and I am smiling! Jeannie (Seraiva) Perillo

For my sister and her family. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die. In loving memory of my sister Peg.

A teasing comb, a mirror and hairspray!!

August 13, 2016

I can completely see her now! No kidding...standing at the mirror (it was round with gold flowers) in the foyer (ok, entrance) in our Edgemoor home. A most round, perfectly made up, smiling face doing the finishing touches! Usine a teasing comb like a pro getting that blond hair placed exactly where she wanted it and then spraying Rave hairspray like the can would never empty, then the most necessary and final procedure....patting it in place.  Truly, a visual art!

This was not always advantageous...depending on the time of performance. On one particular occassion, Peggy beautified just prior to making dinner...dolp!! You see, our most wonderful oven had a pilot light that refused to stay lite. This required turning on the gas, striking a match...See where this is going?!  Yes, the most wonderful "POOF" that results from gas and sulfur made its way and did it's Rave revue....hair and eyebrows slightly singed...Yousa!!! Being the artist, scissors and eyebrow pencil completely rectified the temporary snafu!!  Dinner was great!
