Margaret “Peggy” Smith passed away at home in Canyon Lake, CA on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Peggy was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 18, 1943. She graduated from Boardman High School in Boardman, Ohio and attended Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio where she met her husband Otis Smith.
Peggy is survived by her husband Otis; two sons O. Michael and Darren; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Patsy Metzler and Dorothy Harmon.
Peggy and her husband moved to California in 1985 where she resumed her real estate career as an agent with All Nations Realty, Cucamonga, CA. Peggy and her husband of 49 years live in Canyon Lake, CA, where she was an active member of St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church, and participated in many charitable organizations.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Evans Brown Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, CA from 5-9PM, Rosary at 8PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 31 at 10 AM at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 37200 Whitewood Ave, Murrieta, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Peggy Smith to City of Hope Cancer Center, 1500 East Duarte Rd, Duarte, CA 91010.
