Margaret Jean Brenchly Southwick, 87, a longtime resident of Creedmoor, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
A native of Broome County N.Y., the widow of Morris T. Southwick and the daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn James Brenchly. She was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 23rd 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Jared Hanson. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are five daughters, Margaret Stewart and Barbara Roberts, both of Florida, Mary Callas of Georgia ,Betty Stewart Haroldson of Arizona, Laura S. Parisi of Stem , three sons, Steve T. Stewart of Creedmoor, James J. Ostrander of Oxford, Tom Stewart of California, two sisters, Dorothy Bates and Sandra Merwin both of N.Y., a brother John Brenchly of N.Y, seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Southwick family.
