Her Life

Margie Deloise Lee was born on June 26, 1956 in Coosa County Ala­ bama to the late Ollis Jefferson Lee and the late Effie Mae Thomas Lee. She  accepted  Christ  at  any  early  age  and  united  with  First  Baptist Church. She remained a dedicated member in the Missionary Society, Trustee Board, and Senior Choir until the Lord called her home on Wednesday ,August 21, 2013.

Margie was  employed with the Coosa County Department of Human Resources for 35 years and was a diligent member of the City Council for over 20 years. She served on the Library Board for  a number of years. She will be treasured and remembered forever for her big heart and uplifting smile.

She was preceded in death by parents: Ollis Jeffer­ son Lee and Effie Mae Thomas Lee; one daughter, Candace Lee; and one brother, Stanley Wade Lee.

She leaves to carry on her legacy nine sons: Cordarius Deollis Lee, Jaylen Keion Lee, Bart Gaddis, Phillip (Nancy) Gaddis, all of Rockford, AL; Steve Gaddis and Justin Ware, both of Florida; Quinton Few and Marcus Few, both of Ashland,AL; Jonathan (Kellie) Means of Junction, KS. Six grandchildren:Carson Deollis Lee of Rockford,AL; Roman and Royal Gaddis of North Carolina;Jordan Thomas of Alexander City, AL; Devaughn and Jonathan Means of Junction, KS. A Special child, Jas­ mine Zuccarelli of Indiana. Three sisters: Shirley (Franklin) Little of Chi­ cago, IL; Cynthia Lee and Thelma (Jerry) Hill, both of Rockford,AL. One brother, Donald (Pamela) Lee of Rockford, AL. A Special sister, Tracey Cook of Sylacauga, AL Six nieces: Sondra Williams of Montgomery ,AL; Franchesca Little of Chicago, IL; Brandi (Matthew) Lee-Harris, Bria D. Lee, Deseree L. Few, all of Rockford, AL; Josephine Gaddis of Kauf­ man, TX. Eight nephews: Landon (Leslie) Lee, Wetumpka ,AL; Londrel Lee, LaJerrell (Bridgett) Hill, Desmond Lee, all of Rockford, AL; Shawn (Dominica) Jones, Auburn, AL;Rodney and Cedric Moon of Chicago,IL; Sonny Means of Atlanta, GA. Two aunts: Gloria Thomas of Dallas,TX; Barbara (Rozell) Edmunds of Chattanooga, TN. Six uncles: Reverend Fred (Elma) Lee of Rockford, AL; Benny (Jackie) Thomas of Rome, GA; Michael Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; Billy (Marion) Thomas of Dallas, TX; Johnny Thomas of Kaufman, TX; Webster (Peggy) Thomas, Jr. of Kellyton, AL. A host of cousins, relatives and friends. The Robinson family of Rochester, NY: James Lewis, Willie Mae and Patricia. Special relatives, nine great nieces, seven great nephews and special friends: Bessie McKinney of Mt. Olive, AL and Jessie Smith of Alexander City, AL.
