Ms. Margie Louise White- Jones was born to the late Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Rosa Lee White on November 28th, 1936 in Dothan, Alabama.
Ms. Jones was reared in Dothan, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and received her childhood education from Mount Olive Church, (which at the time was a part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Schools located in the South-Central Conference of Alabama). As a child she was no stranger to climbing a tree or throwing rocks, picking cotton, and watching baseball.
In later years her mother and father moved the family to Birmingham, Alabama. It was here that she developed her gifts as an outstanding cook, respected seamstress and loving mother. You could taste the love in her food, see the pride in her creations and witness her compassion toward her children.
Her Christian values could be seen in how she treated all those she came in contact with.Always offering a kind greeting, opening her home to those who were hungry, and treating others the way she wanted to be treated. Ms. Jones aim to locate that balance in life and live in a way that is pleasing to God.
Some would say that she was the epitome of cool.Ms. Margie, Louise, Granny, Aunt Margie and Mama Jones, are just some of the names she was affectionally called. Her voice was a low, soothing tone and her demeaner was always calm and chilled. She wore fly hats and sunglasses in doors even with the lights dim.Ms. Jones was quick to listen and slow to respond.Freely and patiently offering you any wisdom that she has acquired.
