Ms. Margie Louise White- Jones was born to the late Mr. Nathan and Mrs. Rosa Lee White on November 28th, 1936 in Dothan, Alabama.

Ms. Jones was reared in Dothan, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and received her childhood education from Mount Olive Church, (which at the time was a part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Schools located in the South-Central Conference of Alabama). As a child she was no stranger to climbing a tree or throwing rocks, picking cotton, and watching baseball.

In later years her mother and father moved the family to Birmingham, Alabama. It was here that she developed her gifts as an outstanding cook, respected seamstress and loving mother. You could taste the love in her food, see the pride in her creations and witness her compassion toward her children.

Her Christian values could be seen in how she treated all those she came in contact with.Always offering a kind greeting, opening her home to those who were hungry, and treating others the way she wanted to be treated. Ms. Jones aim to locate that balance in life and live in a way that is pleasing to God.

Some would say that she was the epitome of cool.Ms. Margie, Louise, Granny, Aunt Margie and Mama Jones, are just some of the names she was affectionally called. Her voice was a low, soothing tone and her demeaner was always calm and chilled. She wore fly hats and sunglasses in doors even with the lights dim.Ms. Jones was quick to listen and slow to respond.Freely and patiently offering you any wisdom that she has acquired.

Mrs. Margie Louise Jones departed this life January 18, 2022 at UAB hospital.Ms. Jones was predeceased by daughter (Anita Faye White-Lovett) she leaves in bereavement: two sons, Andre` D. Jones, and Shayamme B. Jones (Patrice M. Jones); two siblings, Nathaniel White, and Georgia M. White, predeceased by(brother, James H. White and sister, Versa L. Mommy Margie you're greatly missed. My brother's are doing so well. My Bro-Bro Dré is doing well too. I made you a promise I'll always be there for him, but you've raised him well because he's looking out more for me. Rest well Mommy until we meet again. Luv-Luv U. Happy Birthday too and yep I know I'm a day late as always, lol.

To the family of Mrs.Marie Louise Jones, I'm Myra's GOD sister. I wanted you all to know I'm praying for you all especially Andre' and Shayamme. I wanted to leave you all some encouragement from GOD'S word. I Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 16-18. 16: For the LORD HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of GOD: and the dead in CHRIST shall rise first: 17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air:and so shall we ever be with the LORD. 18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words. GOD bless you all!!

Momma Margie will forever be a wonderful part of me. She loved me with ALL of my goofyness, craziness and being the oddball. I thank my brothers for doing such a beautiful job taking care of you, but mostly for allowing me to help. Rest well mommy you've done your job in this world in the words of your oldest "marvelously." I wish we could have one more barbecue on 2nd Street West, with my mom, Pat, Queen, Nita and the whole family. I am so glad I got to say how much I luv u Monday & Tuesday. I'm also thankful for Dre and Shay allowing me to pray for you.
Hopefully we'll all be awakened in the beautiful place made of golden streets. Forever luv'n u

My Deepest Condolences

My mom, Myra, spoke so highly of Miss Jones. She will be missed, but she sure left a beautiful legacy with her own children and as a bonus mom to my mom. I'm thankful for that. May this beautiful queen rest in peace and may her family be comforted and blessed at this time of healing. Love, Jaz
