Margo you are missed and will be missed for a long time. Thank you for taking so much time to help your former agent and eventual colleague.
The Funeral will be held at IRA KAUFMAN CHAPEL on Monday, 13 December 2021 at 10:00 AM . Rabbi Tamara Kolton will officiate. Virtual attendance is available by clicking here.
Interment at Oakview Cemetery, 1032 N Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067.
The family of Margo R. Hannum will be gathering through the evening of Monday, December 13 at the residence, 7566 Ashburton Court, West Bloomfield MI 48322.
The family is requesting that only those that are fully vaccinated attend the shiva.
In addition to receiving friends in person, the family will receive friends virtually via Zoom from 5PM to 6PM at the following link. The virtual gathering will include a service beginning at 6pm. Click here to join virtually.
It was Margo's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to Alternatives for Girls. In lieu of flowers or trays, Margo hoped to contribute to the charity she has long supported and make a lasting impact for generations of women. The family requests that you please contribute to the Margo Hannum Memorial Scholarship at the following link: Alternatives for Girls: Margo Hannum Memorial Scholarship (check the box that indicates the gift is in honor of someone). Margot and Karl have been steadfast champions for the homeless and high-risk girls and young women served by Alternatives For Girls, and have contributed in creative, generous, and multiple ways. Even in her last weeks, Margo and Karl are cementing a lasting legacy in the scholarship fund that will be a game-changer for so many girls. As another friend of Margo's put it, this is amazing, but not unexpected, given who Margo and Karl are. Margo lives on! I do feel so blessed to have been in her orbit.

Margo, I will miss you so much. Having had the pleasure of working with you for nearly 10 years is something I will never forget. Your professionalism, courtesy and savviness are just some of the traits that I'll always admire about you. Thank you for always being available whether it was a random hypothetical question or something involving a $50mm transaction.

I have loved working with and getting to know Margo over the past six years. She was a brilliant mind inside a warm and thoughtful human whose impact on me and many others can't be easily summarized. Margo was always level headed and helped keep the larger world in perspective in everything she did, from underwriting decisions, to how she ran her team, to how she connected with people on a personal level about what was happening in the world around us. I loved working with and knowing Margo and my life is much richer for having had her in my life.

It is so hard to believe that Margo isn't with us any longer. She was an extraordinary person who was incredibly smart, funny, and caring. She was always supportive of everyone around her. I am grateful for having known her, having the opportunity to work for her, and to have her as a mentor. I will miss her greatly.

Margo was such an extraordinary person -- always upbeat and positive -- and she was able to lift the spirit of everyone around her. We should all strive to be like her. I was shocked to hear of Margo’s passing: she leaves an extraordinary legacy to those she mentored and to the landscape of our country shaped by her expertise in aiding customers achieve their real estate dreams and endeavors. I recently visited a project we collaborated with customers on approximately four years ago that now brings vibrancy to its community. Whether it was her wit, legal acumen, and/or love and purposeful strength, that vibrancy of Margo will live on in her family, friends, and the communities that she touched.

A brilliant legal mind, unbounded generosity, surpassed only by her loving heart; the world is a lot darker now without Margo. We will all miss her laughter and her great sense of humor. This is a sudden and tragic loss for all of us.

A grateful memory that sticks out was having dinner with Margo and Megan Powell in CO during one of our company events. We laughed so much together that evening, telling stories and talking about life and family. It will remain a treasured memory as I say goodbye to a dear person and celebrate her humor and light. Sending my love and healing to her friends and family as we celebrate the life of a true gem.

I was so sad to hear about Margos' passing. She will be missed by so many. Her quick wit and great one-liners never ceased to make me laugh. She always took time to explain things to me, when I was new to title, so many years ago. She was one of the good ones! Rest in peace dear sister!

It brought me to tears to hear about Margo’s passing. I began working out with her years ago at Lifetime. She always made us laugh and smile during our workouts making the time go by quickly. I will truly miss her one liners. She was taken way too soon.

I am saddened to hear of Margo’s passing. I know I am just one of many people whose life she brightened. She might not have known how much her presence positively affected my work day. This was especially true during the period of my life where I was new to the title industry but she was a veteran. Her ability to make a human connection with me that transcended our corporate structure was a personal motivator and a testament to her character.

I am so sad to hear of Margo’s passing. I had the honor to meet Margo many years ago, through our beautiful friend Carly. Margo was always kind, warm and thoughtful- She always asked about my kids and remembered details about them, and we always cheered for the Spartans together;) It was a pleasure to start my day with her for many years in Pilates- where she made everyone laugh and smile. She will be missed by so many people that adored her. Sending my love and prayers to her family.
