Marguerite Lucille Saye, 92, departed this life Monday, September 7, 2015. Born in Carlisle, Arkansas to Henry and Lytle Holden. Marguerite was the beloved older sister of Maurice, Sonny, and Frank Holden. She was first married to A.C. Samford in 1939 and they were blessed with three daughters, Charlotte Cannon, Sandra Alvarez, and Claudia Thompson. She was then married to Art Saye. 
Marguerite was gifted by God in receiving eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She loved Jesus and chose to follow him as her Savior and Lord, she attended University Church of Christ. Marguerite loved to provide sumptuous meals for her family and for those in need of encouragement. 
Marguerite was an exceptional dancer who always had a sparkle in her eye and a spring in her step. Her laughter could light up a room and those around her knew they were loved. She took great pleasure in bestowing special gifts on her grandchildren and she made every holiday special. 
Marguerite was a staunch republican who worked tirelessly for her party. She leaves behind many loved ones who will cherish her memory. 
The Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at University Church of Christ, 1555 University Avenue. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road where she will be laid to rest.
