The daughter of Mrs. Viola Williams Hunter, Mrs. Gary was a native of Muscogee County, GA and attended Wm. H. Spencer High School.

She was a member of Spirit, Truth, and Liberty Ministries, Intl. where she served diligently with the Alter Guild, Chairman of the Hospitality Committee and Pastoral Aide Committee. She was retired from New Horizons following many years of service as a chef, and was a well known caterer within the tri-city area.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Odies Hickey, a grandson, Corey Hickey, and a brother, Luther Williams.

Survivors include: her husband of 35 years, Mr. Billy Gary; two sons, Horace Hickey and Byron Hickey (Sandi); three daughters, Linda Hickey Jennings (Edgar), Veola Delores Stokes (D'Angelo) and Connie J. Hickey; eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; four sisters and one brother-in-law; other relatives and friends.
