There are so many fond memories Maria, especially warm summer days at the ‘Lake House’.  My children (now with kids of their own) grew up with “aunt” Maria and all of the Perry’s as a positive influence.  Maria was always loving and cheerful (but she knew how to lay down the law, too!)  I remember how she would chat away in Spanish with her mother, and the rest of us would wonder what they were saying.  She was simply the kindest, most loving person one could hope to know.  I hope that Roy, Teresa, Tony, and everyone who was close to her can be comforted by the full life she led, and the joy of having known her.

Lovingly from Georgia Paton...
I was truly blessed to have been a neighbor of Maria's for almost 10 years and a friend for over 20 years. She and her family welcomed us to our former neighborhood with open arms. We walked through some sad times as well as happy ones together. As a perfectionist, she was so inspiring to me and to all those around her. Traveling through live we meet friends who become "special" friends. Maria was one of my "very special friends".

I will always remember Aunt Maria as a beautiful, kind woman from Spain. She was talented at playing the guitar and making the best desserts (I'm talking about the cream puffs). We will always miss her beautiful smile and pleasant personality.

Open arms always

What a sweet blessing Mrs. Perry was to our entire family.
Each time we would visit the Perrys at the lake, Mrs. Perry would come running over to all of us with open arms and give us the most heart-felt hugs and kisses. My children, now adults, were just babies when we met. Mrs. Perry would scoop them up every time, just like they were her own children and just love on them. After the children were a little older, they would always say "Let's go visit Mr. and Mrs. Perry!" each time were were at the lake visiting my own parents.
We enjoyed spending many holidays and celebrations with the Perrys at the lake. It didn't seem the same if they were not with us during the holidays.
We love you Mrs. Perry. We love you Mr. Perry and Teresa. We will cherish our memories together forever. Until we meet again.

Time Capsule

April 14, 2021
25 years ago on New Year's Eve, we decided to make a time capsule.  We all wrote messages and inserted them into the time capsule to be buried in the spring at Lake Anna when the ground thawed.  While I was searching for photos to add to this website, I found the time capsule.  Never buried, but Mom had kept it safely all these years.  When I opened it, this was the message that Mom had written.  A beautiful example of her always loving spirit.
