NUMBERS 23:7-10 "And Balam took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel. How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?  For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!".

Mama was born in Oke Mesi, Ekiti in the year 1912 to the family of Aro Odooba.

The father’s name is Chief Oyalana Akanni, he was a Chief in Aro, Okemesi, Ekiti.

The mother’s name is Madam (Princess) Wuraola Galetu Agbeke daughter of Aponlese in Ile titun, Oke Aafin from the kindred of King Aniyeloye of Okemesi.

When mama was 4 years old, she usually carries the Chieftaincy hand fan of her father, Chief Oyalana Akanni anytime he is going for chieftaincy meeting at the Palace. When mama became 5 years old her father died.

When mama was about 10 years old she followed her grandmother Madam Omiyale to igbajo for business venture where she makes and sells native attire of tie and dye (Adire) why mama also join in the making and selling of the native cloth.

After the death of the grandmother, Madam Omiyale, mama later went to live with her mother’s elder sister Madam Tinuola who lived in Iloro for about 6years .

In 1930, mama and her elder sister Madam Igbayilola did baptism at First Baptize Church at Okemesi, Ekiti where she was named Marian.

When mama became 20years, she went to Igbajo to meet with the mother, Madam Wuraola Agbeke who has become the wife of Pa Morakinyo Alabi in Igbajo. When mama got to Igbajo, she became a trader, farmer and a weaver of native attire (Aso Oke). Mama trades around Igbajo environ (Iresi, Ire, Otan Aiye gbajo, Ada, Koro etc).

In 1939, at age 27years, mama meets with her husband Late Pa Samuel Oladipupo Ayila Odesola of Odofin Ikan, Igbajo in Osun State.

Mama got married on the 28th September, 1944, immediately after the marriage, mama travelled with her husband to Aba an’gioro close to Ibadan where her husband works as a wood sawyer. They gave birth to their first child in January 1946 after which mama and papa lived in Osogbo between 1947 to 1949.

In 1949, mama went back to Igbajo, as at that time her husband had already married the 2nd wife.

After few years in Igbajo, mama returned to stay with the husband at Okebola in Ibadan where baba works as a plank dealer. In 1958, after the completion of baba’s house in Odofin Ikan , Igbajo, mama returned to stay with the mother in-law in that new house.

Since then mama’s siblings called her iya Ikan and the people in that area too began to call her iya Ikan till date.

Mama’s successful business is trading, farming and weaving till she was called to glory.

Mama and Papa worshipped at the First Baptize Church Isao Igbajo. Mama belongs to the society of Omo ni Igbeyin in the Church.

Before the death of her husband, Papa and Mama with other families in the Church planted another branch of Baptize Church; Miracle Baptist Church at Maternity Ikan tutun Street Igbajo.

She was a visionary, a lover of God, heavenly conscious woman and was a prayer warrior.

Her journey to be with the Lord began towards the end of the year 2017 when Mama made certain unusual request.

Mama requested that she should be baptized in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. She was taken through the classes and was Baptized on the 4th of March, 2018.

Through the compassionate and caring attitude of mama, a lot of people had been established and joy restored to many homes.

Mama’s children, both Male and Female are ministers of God and founders of Churches.
