Love, your little munchkin
Today makes one year that you are gone. I miss you very much. I still have the rose from you from my wedding - your special way of being there. Daddy pressed it. You would love how it looks. Gerald & I are doing great. I am glad you got a chance to meet him - even if only that one time. It seemed like you talked for hours. Now we are moving to be close to his family in Illinois. I know how much you value family and you would be happy helping us raise your great-grandson, Easton. I will tell him about you. I love you,
your (not so) little munchkin, Patty.
Patty
Ronnie and I will meet her again in Wizland. Missing her smile already.
At this difficult time, Rus, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

God Bless Marianne and you the care giver

Favorite Nephew
One of the best parts of living with Russ and Marianne at the campground was that we went out to breakfast EVERY morning. Heaven on earth for an active teenager!
I loved hearing the stories about my parents and grandparents, taliking about the business of running a campground and just being together.
Marianne was always an encourager to me in those times as we would discuss the day's work that lay ahead. One day she proclaimed, "you know, I must tell you that YOU are myFAVORITE nephew". My chin rose and my chest puffed out as I basked in this great compliment. My unfounded pride was soon humbled however as I realized that I was in fact Marianne's ONLY nephew. We laughed so heartily that we disrupted the adjacent tables. A great memory!
Surprise!
In September of 1984. Marianne had a surprise 50th birthday party at the campground for Russ. There was a band, dancing, and meatball sandwiches with salad and drinks for all the campers (over 200) over the labor day holiday. Italian food was always one of Russ and Marianne’s favorites.
They first met ......
Russ Stewart and Marianne Reeth met for the first time in 1973 at a dance held at the Cresthaven Christian Country Club. It was an icy winter night. Russ struck up a conversation. After many dances to the rock and roll music of the sixties and seventies (Proud mary being one of Marianne’s favorities), Russ walked Marianne to her car and got her phone number. He thought, “Wow, she can dance up a storm!”
