I am so blessed to have had the opportunity of getting to know Marie at work. I'm even more blessed to have had the opportunity over the past year to spend time with her during her hospital stay, at your home in Sarsfield and in her final days at the hospice. You and your children now have a guardian angel watching from above.
Rest in peace my dear friend

I met Marie at work. She was easy to get along with. She would talk about her children all the time. I never put two and two together until I went to Karen's bridal shower. I walked into the church and saw marie. We both said what are you doing here? It turned out her daughter was marrying my godson trevor. Since then we called each other the outlaws.
I will miss marie very much but I hope she is free of pain. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I met Marie on the bus. We would take the same bus home after work and just started chatting. After a few weeks it came to light that she was none other but the mother of my daughter’s best friend! What a chuckle we had. She was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I will miss you my dear bus buddy. My heartfelt condolences to Nicole and family.

Such a lovely person who made me feel so welcome at Faith. She spoke so fondly of Eganville, her family, her church family and Wayne of course. I know her faith will sustain her. My condolences to Wayne and family. Such heartbreaking times ahead, but I know you have tremendous love and support to carry you through.

In 1983, Marie met Wayne in Pembroke On, they courted for a while, Marie had a son Timothy(1975) from a previous marriage, but that did not matter to Wayne. They went on to raising him together as one of his own. Two years later in May of 1985 they decided to be Married. Marie and Wayne went on to have two children, Karen(1986), and Nicole(1989).
In December of 2019, Marie retired and spent most of her time at home with her grandchildren, and then came the summer  they were living the best life at their trailer too. In August 2022 Marie was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, she fought hard and never gave up, she had come to terms with what was next for her. God had a plan, and she was ready.
Marie was predeceased by her father William Dittburner and her mother Nelda Dittburner.
Marie is survived by her brother Allan Dittburner(his wife Marlyn), and her brother Earl Dittburner(his wife Brenda). Their daughter Karen (her husband Trevor) and their two children: Mikayla and Aidan. Their daughter Nicole (her Fiancé Tylor) and their five children: Riley, Payton, Claire, Mason and Marshall.

A memorial will be held at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church 43 Meadowland Drive West, Nepean on August 5th, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm. It was requested by Marie to wear bright colours to celebrate her life.
