I always remember my mom loving that holiday. She always dressed up. She always made everything fun. She loved giving the kids Candy. But sometimes she would run out. Then she would say, make believe we aren't home. She really wanted to give to everyone.

We had stairs up the block from us called the 72 twos. Seventy two stairs. When I was about nine she took me up the first flight of stairs in the snow, ice and we both went down on a flying saucer. This is where I got my fearlessness from dear MOM!!!

My mom had cancer.they where giving her drugs to treat it. My dad said to me "Jean your mother is hallucinating, on the drugs their give. Your mother thinks she keeps seeing a thousand legged bug. I said "what", he said she's afraid. I said ok. My mother said " Jean please kill the bug on the wall." There wasn't anything there.But I just played along.making believe I saw it. Then I got an idea. I didn't want her to be scared anymore, so I said "mom, that's not a centerped. That's a caterpillar. Of course with the drugs slowly destroying her. She replied " what is a caterpillar?.  I said, a caterpillar turns into a butterfly, mom". She then was not afraid any longer.I was so happy.I could change that. Then she passed soon after that. We where all at the service in the church.The priest started talking. He started with  how the butterfly comes from a caterpillar.my sister's, all looked at me, they couldn't believe what they heard. I told them about her being scared. There I knew she was with us in that church. I want to say mom I knew you where letting me know you where there. I love you.

I wanted to take my mom for lunch one day. I went down to pick her up. She answered the door smiling. But didn't tell me she got all her teeth pulled out .lol I said "mom what the heck happened to your teeth? She laughed. I will always remember that day. She's was so humorous.
