To my dear cousin Marie, a special soul we lost so tragically. You cared for others most of your life, and were very thoughtful towards them. Will remember all the good times we spent at my mums. Marie, may you rest in peace with our loved ones gone before. You dedicated your life to taking care of family with no thoughts of yourself. You were truly a lovely caring person. The Band

Marie was in the caledonian accordian band and played the big drum. She adored being in the band and the man who led the three bands was billy macphee. The band was mens, the ladies and mixed band. Billy was actually the man who gave a local girl called marie lawrie a chance at singing at their concerts. She became a singer called lulu. This was a happy time in maries life.
