A beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman. We love you Marilyn and you will be forever missed.
Marilyn's memorial service was held on Saturday, January 15, 2011. A reception followed at Jim and Marilyn's home.
Thank you to all the family and dear friends that came to celebrate Marilyn's life and to support Jim and the girls.
For those that couldn't attend or who want to see it again, the video that was shown prior to the service is posted on the "Gallery" tab under "Videos".
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Marilyn's memory to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. (https://secure.info-komen.org/site/Donation2?idb=0&df_id=5300&5300.donation=form1&scid=1041)

Thinking about you on your birthday today. We'd be having one heck of a party today if you were here There would be a lot of laughter and fun and family and friends that care. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. You taught me about life and especially how to enjoy it. I miss your advise, your wisdom, and just spending time with you. I’ll always love you and I miss you so much.

It was our pleasure to meet Jim and visit and renew my cousin relationship with Marilyn a couple of years ago. I have fond memories and love for Marilyn and Maureen from the early days of our lives. What a lovely, gracious, and kind woman she was! Winslow and I will always cherish the afternoon we spent together with you, Jim, and Marilyn. May your memories give you peace.
For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end. Psalm 48:14

The sunsets have been amazing lately, night after night. And, I always think about you when I am watching the sunsets.
Recently I was thinking about the fun we had when you, Elyse and I got dressed up in Military outfits to watch the final episode of "Mash". I think I have pictures somewhere, we looked pretty silly, but we were having so much fun.
There was also the time you and I got dressed up and wore evening gowns to watch the final episode of "Dynasty". We watched that show every week together. We loved the elegant Nolan Miller costumes so much. When we were looking for the perfect outfit for you to get married in, you found that beautiful Norman Miller suit!
And then there was the time you, Elyse and I dressed up to see Steve Martin at the Universal Ampitheather (with the Blues Brothers). With balloons on our heads, and the plastic fake nose and glasses - we caught the attention of the news media and we were all interviewed doing our impressions of Steve Martin on the evening news!
I miss you every day Mom. Five years have gone by, and a lot of things have changed in my life, but still I miss you and wish you were here everyday.
Poem for Mom
Dreaming of sunsets
and far away lands
I feel the ocean spray,
the waves rolling slowly in...
a gull glides by,
The wind whispers
A lifetime of memories
flow through my mind
and I think of you MOM and smile.
