Constant Memories of Mare
Mare Lives On in Our Memories
The impact of Mare on our lives remains with us on many levels, which reflect the many facets of her persona. She was a gypsy lady, poet, artist, fighter, bon vivant, sprite, and a true magnet to which many attached themselves.
Today would have been Mare's 71st birthday, a date we celebrated with her along with many friends, family and Nate, for decades. The memories will continue.
Lovingly, Stan & Maggie
PanAm family
The last time I saw Marilyn was at a memorial for her father Curtis (Uncle Curty to us kids - Biff, Darcy, Bonnie, Roxanne and Barnaby) held at the Wooden Boat Center on Lake Union. My father Robert S. Crane was there - they were great friends and pilots from the early days of PanAm. It was a small, sweet ceremony. Our families (the Gilberts and Cranes) were united by PanAm. Our mothers (Phyllis and MaryLou) double -dated with those 2 rascals! I have some wonderful photos of us visiting the Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula with us kids lined up on a footbridge. I will never forget that day. It was magical. I also have another picture of Marilyn with her mother MaryLou and a yound blond boy - so cute! My sympathies to the family. I need to dig through assorted pictures that my mother left me to find all those memories. Please feel free to contact me so I can get them to you if you are interested. darcycrane@comcast.net 206-920-4287
