My grandpa was a servant to others and served the Lord faithfully for many many years.  His dedication to serving God and immersing himself in the Word daily is the example I desire to follow!  I have many memories of time spent with my grandpa, but some of the best happened in Montana: fishing off of Picnic Rock, catching and eating many brown and rainbow trout, hiking to Slough lake in the rain, shopping for antiques in Absarokee, going to the international festival in Red Lodge, and eating rootbeer floats at the Dew Drop Inn.  He was also the one that got me hooked on eating chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy.  I could go on and on about the memories I have with him, and I look forward to reminiscing with him when we meet again in our heavenly home!!

I will always be forever grateful for the spiritual training and guidance I received from my Dad. He took his walk with the Lord very serious and taught his family well in the ways of the Lord. Taking us to church, having devotions, Bible stories and kneeling for prayer in the living room during the week.  I am the person I am today because of this and don't know where I would be without it.  Thank you Dad for being my spiritual leader.  I love you!

Thanks for all your warm birthday wishes. I was born 50 years ago today, at home (both cars wouldn't start), and my mother gave birth with the nervous assistance of my dad and grandma. Well 50 years later to the day, my father has passed from this life to the next, to the heavenly home he spoke of so often. I am eternally grateful for my father, a man of great conviction, faith and love for his family. Dad, as you would have celebrated my birthday today, so I celebrate your life and 'new birth' in heaven today.
