This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Marquis Harris, 30, born on July 27, 1985 and passed away on June 12, 2016. We will remember him forever.

Dear Family and Friends,

This website has been created in loving memory of our brother, husband, father and friend, Marquis Jerome Harris (Big Smooth). We will remember him forever and would like to celebrate his life, and memories of him.

Please post your memories for Marquis Harris here and as many pictures and stories, that you would like to.

Marquis was a very kind hearted man and full of life even though his battle with Multiple Sclerosis left him bedridden. He loved his family, wife and his son very much. Marquis had a smile that could be seen from miles away and he loved college football. His favorite team was Texas Longhorns. Marquis also loved to reflect on all the advice that his father Albert Harris gave him and often made sure that his son Braylon Harris also knew some if those important lessons. Marquis and his wife Olympia met each other 7 years ago before he was diagnosed with MS. They were very much in love until his last breath. He is survived by both parents Rosemary Shorter and Albert Harris, four sisters and one brother, and also a plethora of family and in laws in Birmingham, Al and Columbus, Ga.

Feel free to share this link with people who know and love our angel.

God Bless,

The Harris's

Marquis (aka Son) was a person that had a smile that attached itself to your heart instantly when you first meet him. The memories of the talks we shared and cried together as well as praying. I often told him he was the chosen seed to bring his son through my daughters life, Braylon was a miracle seed planted that stemmed from Marquis. Even though he was battling MS it didn't take the love of his wife, son and family. Marquis was a serious person, but never to the point where he didn't take out the time to say thank you, I love you, he was very kind hearted. He wasn't always feeling his best, but he never let anything take his joy that he had while he was here and that was to see his son, his loving wife and family until his battle ended, even then it still was I love you.
