7 girls & Where's the boy

Shared by Tania Ngawaka on March 2, 2021
  1. A fond memory listening to our dad and mum stories & one of many to come, being told when they were expecting a boy....which didnt happen anytime soonbecause there were still girls coming along! our father would be pasing up and down the hospital corridors when mum was due and 1st Gertrude came then 2nd Georgina, 3rd Tania (me), I think dad started to get abit worried thinking surely a boy is coming! Next time mum was due dad is really really hoping this is gotta be a boy fingers crossedand hello Wham! another girl what the heck is going on here mary!Tina was the 4th, oh boy things are getting pretty jittery here which made it even worse when the 5th was another girl melanie. Oops dad is wondering when is he getting his wish for a boy, that's not to say he didn't love his girls because we were and still are daddy's girls❤ mum was expecting I think 1yr after melanie, & my dad was over the moon chuffed this better be a boy, again fingers crossedhe pased up and down those hospital corridors and I'm sure for the 6th time the vinyl floors would've been ripped up by now with all that pasingfrom my dad! Now for the final awaited moment....drum roll! My dad finally got his wish a bouncing baby boy6th child. And when we looked at my dad telling us the story you could almost be taken there! He jumped for joy down the hospital corridors yelling out I gotta BOY,YES! Mum and dad named him Hayden Marsh note:my dads name❤❤ well after that, well I think my dad was done and dusted so to say cos 2 more girls came along Erica Mary (7th)and Demelza Nadia (8th) I guess he gave up on the fact that there would hopefully be another son, & brother. And even though my mum did say she wished she did give my brother Hayden a younger brother for him it wasnt to be! But all turned out okay bcos all us girls were like his brothers as we fought like Tom boys in fights with each other or at school and we certainly didnt pull hair us Ngawaka's! So its lovely to have had one of many special moments with both parents telling us their memory of having us...so much ❤
