Note from Michelle, her daughter:
I will be walking for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk to find better treatments and cures for blood cancers in memory of my Mom on September 29, 2012.
Please visit here to see my fundraising page.
Thank you for your support, and please pass the word.
"Remember me in Spring's first rain
In gentle winds across your face
A sun's shining day
Happy children at play
Remember me with a sweet prayer."
This memorial is here for all to enjoy her and to contribute to her memories. Welcome!
This is a work in progress, please feel free to share any memories or stories.
Martha Hamelin, beautiful Wife, Mother and Friend
Born May 6, 1943 and passed on May 13, 2012
A shining spirit who loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Too soon, but long enough to have changed countless lives.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Ronald Joseph Hamelin
Eldest son Mark, Chris, Daughters Nicole and Michelle, and her beloved “2nd sons”, Gavin and Adrian, and her five grandchildren that always brought her so much joy, Niko, Xander, Gia, Max, and Liliana.
No services will be held. How can one celebrate one so very dear to so many?
Let everyday be ceremony
Let kindness be ceremony
Let love be ceremony
If tears need to fall, let them fall. Speak to her in your pain and in happiness,
and when you find a quiet space, she will still be there.
Lift your head and feel her in the wind’s soft breeze
Or take notice of the scent of flowers when perhaps there are none around.
Keep a joyful song in your hearts.
Be a friend to others as she had been to you. Celebrate her every day with a smile on your face and an open heart. This is how we honor the beautiful spirit that is Martha.
She was the candle that lit so many other candles and made this world that much brighter, and so many will miss her.
She'd be happy you're here :)
Tributes
Leave a tributei was just thinking of you and how much i miss your smile and kindness.
i don't knpw why but you must be trying to communicate. say hi to Mary for me.
I met a woman behind me in line who looked so much like you. She was talking about something with me & ended her sentence with, "know what I mean, jelly bean?" Just like you'd say to me. Miss you terribly. All of us do.

Ring of Fire- Eclipse today
Mom was a Taurus (symbol: bull). We celebrated her birthday two Sundays ago, on May 6th. The following Sunday, May 13th, she passed. Today, the third Sunday, May 20, 2012, there is a rare solar eclipse alignment with the star Alcyone of the constellation Pleiades. Egyptian’s 'Divine Mother' star was Alcyone, and was also known as the star of their Cow God, Hathor. Egyptians revered the Pleiades constellation as a higher divine star system, especially Alcyone, its brightest star. Mom is being cremated today. The brightest star returns to the heavens.
Many of you know how much she enjoyed her "2nd life" playing her game online. Here's a forum post that says it all about my Mom's 2nd life in the World of Warcraft. Enjoy!
Safe Travels, Cantada!
May the light embrace you
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
