Mum was a great blessing.
I moved into Shammah court in 2009,unbeknownst to me I was going to be immensely blessed. The Maina family who also lived in Shammah court and whose children were friends to me.

Many times mama Murugi opened her home to me and I felt like family and never a stranger or impostor. I had many wonderful dinners in this home, dinners that were filled with so much laughter. A few things stand out for me, I had just started my photography career and barely had any clients, one time I was so broke and could barely afford cooking gas.Phillip Muigai who would usually pass by my flat knew about my situation and I think shared with his mother.Later that evening Philip passed by my house and I his hand enough money to buy me cooking gas,to me that was love.

As I was planning my wedding, Mama Murugi asked to meet me.She asked me how my plans were coming along and gave me advise then prayed for me.When we were done she gave me some money and insisted it has to be used for paying for our honeymoon.

She did not have to, but mama Murugi chose to be kind towards this young man.I felt loved and I felt welcomed.

I believe without doubt that Mama Murugi is heaven. She lived well.
