The daughter of the late John T. and Bessie White Dent, Mrs. Wilson was born in Stewart County, GA and was a graduate of Lumpkin High and Industrial School. She was a member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Louvale, GA where she was a Committee Sister. She retired after 30 years as a Nurse Technician at the Columbus Medical Center and was a member of the Carver Park Community Involvement Program.

She was preceded in death by four siblings, James, Billy, Robert and Ralph Dent.

Survivors include: two sons, Thomas J. Wilson (Kay) and Tyrone Wilson (Lenore); a daughter, Gwendolyn D. Nelson (Elzie); 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers, Elder John H. Dent (Vicki) and Bobby J. Dent; five sisters, Evelyn Harris, Daisy Chambers, Bertha Thomas, Annie Carter (Robert) and Juanita Wilson (Arthur); loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
