Martha Ann Roy McBrayer of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Although she lived most of her life in the Birmingham area she was with her sister in North Alabama the last few months of her life.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother Martha Roy and her father, Robert (Bob) Roy, as well as her brother, Melvin Knight. She is survived by her sons, Matthew McBrayer of Key West, Florida, Mitchell McBrayer of Panama City Florida, sister, Robbie Roy (Risa) of Albertville, Alabama and one grandchild, Marshall McBrayer of Texas.
She was an avid golfer and won many championships at Chase Lake Country Club in Hoover,Alabama.
Ann was a graduate of University of Montevallo where she majored in Physical Education. Although she loved teaching at Berry High School she pursued a career as a hairdresser after her children were born in order to spend more time with her boys and playing golf.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
