This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Martha Lee Hawk, 70, born on July 28, 1941 and passed away on August 24, 2011. We will remember her forever.

Martha Lee (Marti) Dupuy Hawk of Columbus, Ohio died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday August 24, 2011 after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 28, 1941 to William and Josephine Dupuy she was the younger of two daughters. She grew up in Lebanon, Ohio and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1959 with a passion for art and design. Marti was able to realize her dreams while raising 3 children with her former husband Herbert, by creating successful businesses with an interior design business and art gallery in Zanesville, Ohio for over 20 years.

In retirement her passions turned to her numerous friends including the Domino Divas, and as a member of the National Mahjong League. Always with a sense of flair, she is remembered for her eclectic hats, colorful attire, fondness for pink flamingos and zebras, wonderful sense of humor, and her ability to light up a room with her laughter.

Survived by her loving, long-time companion Andy Mackay, her 3 children, Jeff Hawk, Sheri Hawk-Noer, and Michele Lorton; 10 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; her sister Susanne LeFeber; and her many close friends.

I so wish that I could have been in touch with our Marti for all the years of our adulthood. You family and friends who were with her were blessed to have this delightful, amazingly talented woman in your lives. It is obvious that you were wonderful to her as well. She enjoyed the love of all of you. And I enjoyed the e-mail communication we had in later years.

Always a Lady! She had style, carissma and a wonderful sense of humor. I loved talking with her when she returned from the Worthington Farm Market on Saturdays. The more color, the more she liked it! Fun clothes, good food, great circle of friends, & a beautiful, loving family.
