It's been a while, I hope everyone of you are safe and home with your families and slowly adjusting. I know it's taken my littles some time to adjust but we're taking it day by day. Life is too precious not to and so are our babies so please take this serious because it is. With everything going on in the social media world I figured what a perfect time for a positive story, a sweet reminder that our Chuck is always with us.
Rewind some time back, Lonnie had taken Ryan for a haircut at Nga's (everyone knows Nga) pretty day and the door was wide open. Ryan sitting in the chair and here comes a blue butterfly flying all over the place. Everyone in the shop was shewing the butterfly away. Even Tom was going after him with a towel. And then it got to Ryan and swarmed him over and over just going around him. Ryan also shewed him away. Nga said "stop it's Jr., he's here with us." and they let the butterfly be. He didn't leave Ryan's side even with the clippers going on that butterfly just kept flying around him. Nga said the door is always open on a pretty day and never has a butterfly flew in and stay with someone the whole time. Lonnie called and we both cry on the phone. Maybe it really was Jr. ...fast forward to Oysterfest.
We're in the parade walking with so much pride, the kids having a blast and cheers from all over as we're holding the 1st place trophy. My mama, sitting in the crowd waiting for us to pass and here comes this butterfly. Again she tried and tried to get rid of him and she couldn't. It kept bothering her and she wanted to watch the parade, then she remembered the butterfly at Nga's. So she left him alone and there it stayed fluttering around her shoulder. ....Now yesterday,
After work, dinner and school work it's time for our evening walk. We take off down the road and here it comes. A butterfly, flying all around us. The kids start to freak out shewing it away, "it's supposed to be a relaxing walk" says Ryan. I remember THE butterfly, so we let it be and it flutters throughout our walk to and from. I cry again because who knows what it really means or if it means anything at all. If it is him he's so close to us and yet I still can't touch him or it's just a butterfly who loves to bother us. ;) I do believe Chuck's spirit is strong, he has to be if you know what I mean. Chucky was everywhere and into everything and he made it a point that you knew he was there! No exceptions. This little boy was no ordinary little boy and we all know that. He loved to play with my kids and they loved to play with him.
We miss him terribly....
If you have a story to tell of Chucky, please do so below in the comments. Let's see something different on fb beside this virus chaos....
