Martina was born on May 11,1966 in Harvey, IL to Walter James Thomas and Janice Katherine Caison (nee High).  She attended Thornton High School in Harvey for her freshman year before relocating to San Jose, CA.  Martina graduated from Silver Creek High School in San Jose in 1984 , and attended Mission College, in Santa Clara.

 Martina met Joseph in 1994 and they got married in 1996.  This union resulted in the birth of Tiffani in 1999.  Martina enjoyed dancing, walking, exercising, traveling, shopping, playing tennis and and attending Zumba classes.

She was a faithful Christian who attended Cathedral of Faith Church in San Jose.  She was very hospitable, loving, always carried a smile that radiated joy to those around her.  She dedicated her life to taking care of her family, and went above and beyond in serving others.

Martina changed her home address to Heaven on Nov, 1st 2016 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA.  She is survived by her husband Joseph, her daughter Tiffani, her mother Janice, her father Walter (Sr.), her brother Walter (Jr.)  and by several uncles and aunties.
