This is a video of a tray of our baby quail.  Marty's dream was to own and operate a wild game bird farm.  He made is dream come true!  We gathered, on average, 4500 to 5000 eggs every day.  Marty built his own incubators and invented turners for them. We hatched close to 25,000 eggs every Friday.  When he died in 2011, we owned the largest quail hatchery in the state of Nebraska! 

Marty would come in from doing chores and this is how he would spend his evenings, playing with both Carson and Bella. During the kids visit, Marty took care of Carson at night, all night!  He loved him so much!  I would hear him talking to him, telling him about the quail and the incubators.  They even had a midnight snack together, every night! 

In September, 2011, we were fortunate enough to watch Bella and Carson for a week.  Marty was so excited!  He had a long list of things he wanted to do with them.  Hot tubbing was at the top of the list. Papa and Bella were best buddies.  Bella even went on a couple bird deliveries with him.  I am so glad that we made this visit possible!
