Her Life

Don't take your loved ones for granted...

December 30, 2014

My Mom was just barely 49 years old when she died-She turned 49 on July 17th, 1984 & Died on August 19th, 1984.

Her death was so sudden & unexpected that it effected me in a big way & still does; I know my Children & others thought i was so over-protective (I still am to this day) because I'm so terrified of losing my loved ones in a sudden unexpected way that I always tell them when they are going some where to plz drive safely, watch out for deers & drunk &/or crazy drivers-My Mom once told me that it's not just your driving you've got to worry about but it's everybody else's driving around you that you also got to worry about-Her advice was great & full of wisdom-Once when we had a red light by The Old Courthouse I remembered what she said & even though the light was green for me I slowed down & stopped & Big 18 Wheeler went flying through the red light-My Mom's wisdom & advice saved my life that day. When we are young we think we are invincible & that our Moms (Or Dads) advice to us isn't important-But when you grow up & live though life's road bumps then you realize their advice was true & that they were only trying to spare you the pain of what life can dish out if you're not very careful & I can tell you having to learn the hard way is very painful & You never know from one minute to the next how a split second disaster can turn your life upside down & the people in your life that you love can be taken away from you before you have another chance to spend time with them & to tell them how much you really do love them-Don't take your loved ones for granted because they won't live forever & not everybody dies of old age-I loved/love my Mom but I am full of regrets because I thought my Mom would be with me for many, many, years to come-I took her life for granted & for that I'm truly very sorry & I think about her & miss her every single day & night even after all, these years...
