Grandma, you were everything to me. I feel like part of me died when you did. You always told me that the day I was born was the happiest day of your life, so I guess it makes sense that you died on my birthday. I miss you more than words could possible say. Without you, my life will never be the same. Just know that you are always on my mind grandma!! Rest in peace my precious angel!! I love you!!

Grandma and the pot cake

January 26, 2019

Grandma, do you remember many years ago, shortly before you retire from your job.  You were working graveyard at the time and used to come over to my house every day when you got off work.  One morning, I was in the shower when you arrived.  Derek and I had just finished making cake (Derek put pot in it).  When I came out from the shower, there you were, sitting at my dining room table shoveling this cake into your mouth.  I freaked out of course and told you that you better hope your work didn't decide to drug test you.  Oh you were so mad at me for that.  You had never done a drug in your life and there you were, that morning, eating more than half that cake.  About a half hour later, you were so paranoid, you were standing in my living room and kept peeking out of my curtains thinking someone was out there.  I believe it was the very next day that you gave your notice that you were going to retire (at 75 years old).

I miss you so much it hurts grandma!!!!
