ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created to honour the very special memory of our beloved mother, Mary Anne Ammaratnam who was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka on March 25, 1919 and passed away on September 22, 1990 at the age of 71. She left behind her loving husband of 43 years and her three precious children, seven grandchildren and two great grand children. Mummy lived a full and happy life. She loved her children and grandchildren, and we all loved and adored her. She lived her life for Jesus and her family. She touched all of us with her beautiful smile and her gentle touch. Though none of us were ready to let her go we all knew she was going to paradise to be with Jesus, and we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering but free to walk the gardens of heaven. She is no longer in pain no longer suffering from the cancer that took her away from us.Although her earthly existence is no more, her memory, her legacy, her life, will live and remain in our hearts eternally. This site was also created for everyone to come to and remember Periacca/Periamum/Mummy/Grandma, all memories that are shared will be saved forever so that one day when all of us get older we can come here and read all the wonderfulmemories that we all have and they (especially our children) will know what an awesome lady she was. Dear family, friends, and visitors, The family of Ponniahs also want to personally thank each and everyone of you for the beautiful comments that have been posted. The purpose of this website is to show how special Mary Anne Ammaratnam is and how many different lives she has touched. Please continue to share your tributes and candles to Ammaratnam, so that everyone can continue to see the amazing person that she will be remembered for.

SELVAM UNCLE (2006)

"They were, like the Divine Couple not only in name, as Mary and Joseph but also as models in loving and caring for each other and fulfilling parental duties to perfection. The Lord of the Harvest would have welcomed His faithful Son and Daughter to Their Heavenly Abode of Eternal Bliss in the Company of His Angels and Saints. We may now pray to them to pray for us."

BABA & RAJENDRAM (2005)

Acca is such a special word,
A word that brings to mind,
A big warm smile, a helping hand,
A way of being kind,
Devotion to the family,
A word of patience too.

With much love, Baba & Rajendram

A Mother's Love / Arunkumar, Rajaji and Selvaji (2005)

A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
