Her Life
April 5, 2017

Mary Elizabeth Rosser was born the 4th child to the late Lilton Hill, SR and Josie M. Rosser on April 29, 1960.

Her early education was at Luthersville Elementary School and she also attended Greenville High School. Mary went on to attend Job Corps in Oklahoma where she received her G.E.D. and also received her certification as a nursing assistance.

“Pookie”, as she was known to many, was a kind hearted person and loved to be around family and friends, especially her grandkids. She did not hold anything back! She would tell it like it is but also do anything she could to help you out.

Mary joined Clarks Chapel U.M.C. at an early age under the leadership of Rev. J. C. Neal. On May 16, 2000, Mary was joined in holy matrimony to the late Marvin Rosser, Jr.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Lilton Hill Sr.; sister, Geraldine Harden; brother, Eddie Jean Hill; daughter, Blane Hill-Rosser; husband Marvin Rosser, Jr.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories one son, Michael (Cicely) Hill, Grantville GA; three grandchildren, Jamal Hill, Michai Hill & Judiah Hill, Grantville GA; mother, Josie M. Rosser, Greenville GA; one brother, Lilton Hill, Jr (Angela); three aunts, Mattie Render, Sallie Strozier & Mae Francis Lovett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friend Evan Gates.
