     Mary E. (Durre) Lange, 86, of Peoria, passed away peacefully at 5:07 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Manor Court of Peoria.Born on December 17, 1931 in Bloomington, she married Martin W. Lange on January 20, 1951.He served as her loving caretaker for nearly 16 years following her stroke.He preceded her in death on December 3, 2017.

     Mary is survived by her son, Thomas Lange of Austin, TX; her three daughters, Sue Anderson of Peoria, Joan Lange of Austin, Texas and Beth (Trevor) Freeze of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Christopher (Jeannie Krakow) Anderson, Michael (Heather) Anderson, Isaac Freeze, and William Freeze; and three great-grandchildren, Kelci, Mason, and Sophie Anderson.She is also survived by a brother, Myron Durre of Quincy, sisters-in-law Joyce Lange of Miami Shores, FL, Marita Rawski of Gainesville, VA, Katherine (Terry) Ferguson of Clinton, and Janet Lange of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hattie (Yordy) Durre; sisters, Hilda Schertz, Elsie Eden, Luella Koch, and Erdene Moline; and brothers, Francis, Melvin, Herman, Richard, and Robert Durre.

     Mary was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Grace Presbyterian Church, serving as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her recipe for "Death by Chocolate" was a family favorite.

     The family would like to express their gratitude to those at Liberty Village Manor Court and Unity Point-Methodist Hospice Services for their excellent care of both Mary and Martin.

     Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Grace Presbyterian Church or RHMA (Rural Home Missionary Association) in Morton.

     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Grace Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Center Cemetery in Flanagan, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 11.

     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria.
