Her Life
February 7, 2015

Mrs. Harris was born in Adel, Georgia on April 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Flonnie Ogletree Noles and Carson “Buck” Noles. She was married to the love of her life Bobby Gerald Harris. They lived their lives together for over sixty years and went to meet the Lord they loved hand in hand. Until the onset of her declining health she was a faithful member of the Centralhatchee First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her husband’s reports on the services when she was no longer able to attend. She worked for many years at Wal-Mart where she was the department manager of the girls and infant department. In later years she worked for the Heard County Department of education where she used her talent for cooking to serve nourishing meals for the students. In her few spare moments she loved reading, and listening to the Gaither Vocal Band. She was always happy when surrounded by children, but especially so when she was in the presence of her own children and grandchildren. Before her health declined she loved preparing wonderful meals for her family! They especially enjoyed her chocolate cake with its scrumptious boiled fudge icing. She was a loving wife and mother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Harris Shelnutt of Carrollton, GA.; son, Michael and Toni Harris of Knoxville, TN.; two sisters Wauhilla Fee of Jacksonville, FL., and Martha Noviel of Defruniak Springs, FL.; one brother, Marlin Noles of Orange Park, FL.; grandchildren, Kerri and Jarrod Whitman of Bowdon, GA., Rebecca Shelnutt and Chip Stephens of Ephesus, GA., and Michel Harris of Knoxville, TN.; and five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Payton, Emma, Anna, and Kylie Whitman all of Bowdon, GA.
