Mary Alice Thaxton Huff, 71, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
She was a native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Clarence Clyde and Elsie Gray Thomas Thaxton. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and retired after thirty one years of service with Northern Telecom in Creedmoor. She was a devoted wife, mother and NaNa to all her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Reverend Frank Sossamon and Reverend Sam Brewer. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband of forty eight years, Alfred Ray Huff of the home, two daughters, Sandra K. Currin (Ronnie) of Henderson NC, and Brenda F. Faucette of Bullock NC., two granddaughters, Marie D. Adcock and Monica Jane Faucette, three grandsons, Jonathan B. Pulley, Adam T. Pulley, Matt B. Faucette, a special nephew, Keith Huff and her loving dog, Angel. She was preceded in death by a son, Willie Winston Henley Jr.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:45 PM, prior to the funeral, at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
